Happy Christmas

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. – John 1:14

God reaches out to us when we cannot reach out to Him. We could not reach heaven so He made His dwelling among us.  “A virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel.” – Matthew 1:22-23. Emmanuel. God with us.

A very happy Christmas to those of you who are celebrating. To those of you who are not may you also be blessed with peace and joy.

I don’t think I’ll be getting a white Christmas this year. Here in the UK we got a fair amount of snow a couple of weeks ago but it is gone now. The picture above is from Saskatoon, Canada a few years ago.

  1. Nice post. I find the idea of a white Christmas quite a peculiar romanticised notion…I think I can recall one from the many years in England’s cold northern parts. Not sure why we cling to it, therefore, unlike the Canadians…they must have them often (and sure deal with snow much better than the Brits) 🙂 Happy Christmas!
